I was born on May 5, 1945 in Rotterdam. My artistic career began in my childhood. Design and color played from childhood an important role in my life. The first oil paintings I made on my 12th year. The oil paintings were by my proud parents sold in our store ( grocery / annex water distillery ) in Rotterdam.

After my high school education, I worked in the shop window and decoration at a department store in Rotterdam. Then I attended many courses and later on a four -year course at the Free Art Academy in Rotterdam for fashion and design. But drawing and painting were still my passion.

I work in watercolor, acrylic, oil, but also with mixed techniques. I like to paint what is on my mind but also in commissions from individuals and businesses with a great openness to the needs of the customer. I paint portraits from photos. As of 1993 my paintings are being exhibited at home as well as abroad in other European countries. My work for example, has been exhibited in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Turkey and of course in the Netherlands.
